Pinned Message

This forum has quickly become the source for AZ convos. I think it would benefit from a consolidated pinned message containing AZ exec summary, Hyperspace exec summary, Prioritized list of initiatives (NEW), Proposal template, link to “good” proposals, and maybe FAQs / Resources. The prioritization list is new and I think is needed - I dont want to discourage anyone from submitting marketing proposals but personally I would put them on the bottom of the list (maybe an exception if they were a marketing proposal targeted at bringing devs here). I can help with this over the next couple days in spurts. One of the admins should probably own it though.

I agree. Been slammed at work, but I can start working on a live thread later this afternoon hopefully. Everyone can contribute in the comments and we can amend the original post as comments come in.

Cool?

i’ll start collating points from different threads on the forum so we can put it all into one post

Naturally I propose this then disappear lol - slammed at work as well but yeah if we get a thread I will contribute via comments :+1:

DRAFT (we can always post and iterate)

Welcome to Accelerator-Z, an on-chain venture framework that is supporting a wide variety of products or services relevant to the Network of Momentum’s ecosystem expansion. The fund at stake is represented by Zenon Fabric that has over 900k ZNN and 8,4M QSR opened for any interested entities that are capable and eager to develop on NoM’s feeless, rapid, secure and decentralizednetwork.

This forum will serve as a place for the community to submit proposals and gather feedback off-chain prior to submitting an on-chain proposal via SYRIUS. Once the submitter is confident their proposal meets the needs of the community they can continue to use the forum to answer questions through the voting process. Currently Pillar Operators are responsible for assessing the viability of the project voting for them to receive funding or not, however, submitters can use the poll feature here to gauge approval of the community.

Hyperspace represents the inception of Accelerator-Z, but with an augmented focus on initiatives that fulfill the vision of a cross-chain compatible network. The Hyperfund required for the Hyperspace Program will be deducted from the Orbital Program. The Hyperfund will be worth 130k ZNN and 700k QSR.

Current priorities for Hyperspace are:

Building cross-chain solutions:
• Cross-chain bridges (with other layer-1 or layer-2 networks)
• Atomic swaps and related technologies (HTLCs)
• Other interoperability solutions

SDK ports for the following programming languages:
• Javascript/Typescript
• Rust
• Go
• Java/Kotlin
• C/C++
• Python
• Swift
• C#

To submit a proposal follow the template below:

Project Name: Your Proposal Name Here

Description: A one paragraph explanation of the core of what you plan to deliver. Make in concise and to the point, explain what benefit it brings to the network and community and how you plan to deliver it. Explain why your project is vital to the success of Zenon, both in the short and long term? In other words, what problem is it solving?

Team: Background, skills and resources you / your team bring to the project. Even if the project idea is a good one, why are you the one(s) who should be funded to do it when those funds could go to others (even if to do the same thing)?

Phases

High-level roadmap: It is encouraged to submit projects with phases where possible with each phase delivering some unit of value to the community. How many phases are you submitting for, what deliverables will be in each phase, what is the estimated timing of each phase, and most importantly what value will be delivered to the community in each phase? Include as many phases as you need for delivery. Payment is linked to Phase completion.

Phase 1
High level overview of main tasks:

  • Task 1
  • Task 2
  • Task 3

Completion of Phase 1 will be measured by:

  • Achieving task X and Y
  • Delivering objective Q and R

Phase 2
High level overview of main tasks:

  • Task 1
  • Task 2
  • Task 3

Completion of Phase 2 will be measured by:

  • Achieving task X and Y
  • Delivering objective Q and R

Phase 3
High level overview of main tasks:

  • Task 1
  • Task 2
  • Task 3

Completion of Phase 3 will be measured by:

  • Achieving task X and Y
  • Delivering objective Q and R

Funding

Total Requested Funding = XX ZNN and XX QSR

Budget Calculation: How did you calculate your budget? Did you estimate development hours against a certain rate, and then multiply that by the current price of ZNN & QSR? If yes, how many hours did you project? What was the rate you used? What was the market price of ZNN & QSR at time of budget formulation? Did you estimate your budget based on comparable projects? If yes, can you explain the logic behind their pricing model and can you explain that logic to the Pillar operators? Do you need to buy tools to do the job? Are you baking in a premium for risk or opportunity cost? The important thing here is not so much the budget amount, but how you derived that amount. Budgets should be well thought out and aligned to project phases.

Project and Payment Milestones:
Phase 1
Funding Request: X% (XX ZNN and XX QSR)
Duration: XX months

Phase 2
Funding Request: X% (XX ZNN and XX QSR)
Duration: XX months

Phase 3
Funding Request: X% (XX ZNN and XX QSR)
Duration: XX months

Other Information

Risks, Assumptions, Known Issues, Dependencies: What are the variables and dependencies? Do you have contingency plans for significant assumptions, variables, and dependencies?

Have you previously submitted a proposal (either in Acclerator-Z or Incubator)? If yes, how did they turn out? Link to all previous proposals or finished products

Should we mention next to these what is currently under development with a link to the repo?

Good idea + WASM runtime + ?

I added a table to the Dev forum with the SDK status, link below

@romeo updated - take a look and edit what you want then maybe we get this up as a master pinned message for WarpDrive

Or if you want to keep them separate can just chunk this out to an updated about AZ and updated proposal template

I’ll sort something out today, thanks! :+1:

added a new pinned message, thank you for the effort

note to self: need to write a quick “how-to” guide for submitting a proposal in Syrius

Awesome! We should probably unpin the others to clean it up

Also, if you are linking to the proposal template in the pinned message I would replace the proposal text w/ what is in this thread. I made some minor edits so there is consistent grammar throughout.
